Since 2016, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy has consolidated the Servier Group’s commitment to sustainable development. This approach allows us to meet our stakeholders’ high expectations in terms of transparency, employees’ wellbeing, respect for the environment and the positive impact of companies on society. CSR is based on the strong commitment of the Executive Committee, a solid methodology, concrete actions and all employees’ engagement.
A true lever for performance and sustainability for the Servier Group’s business, the CSR approach is based on a strategy and orientations developed by the CSR department, the local initiatives carried out by each team and the commitment of the Group’s employees. The strategy and orientations deployed across departments and professions provides the tools to enable each employee to take ownership of this approach and monitors progresses of action plans, the achievement of objectives and their non-financial indicators and all the results are reported to Servier’s Executive Committee.
Faced with climate change challenges, economic players are mobilizing alongside states and citizens with initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In order to align to the low-carbon strategy with the objectives of the Paris agreement, the Group has committed to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) to reduce its carbon footprint by 25% by 2030. Conducted in partnership with EcoAct, this commitment process began in 2018 with a comprehensive review of emissions, in order to implement a relevant action plans.Since the implementation of energy-efficiency actions, from the choice of low-carbon transportation to the purchase of raw materials from suppliers themselves committed to a low-carbon strategy, the range of solutions undertaken has required the involvement of all of the Group’s departments and employees.
